I thought I’d share my experience of this infuriating piece of **ahem**e. I received my Ionic around 18 months ago as a gift, first 6 months were fine, then the problems started. Inaccurate heartrate readings constantly, especially when warming up for spin classes, watch would show up to 200bpm, I’m 47 years old! My heart doesn’t get there anymore! Then during exercise the heartrate getting stuck for up to 40 mins at the same reading. Also shutting itself off during exercise, infuriating when you know you’ve worked hard and it doesn’t show. These problems are still ongoing and if anything worse. Before you start I have tried every single fix in the book and the Fitbit support team have been **ahem**e. ‘We’re aware of the problem and working on a fix’. ‘no you can’t exchange it as this won’t solve the problem’ (basically admitting it’s faulty!), ‘you only get a 14 day guarantee’. What!!!!!????? The ‘Fitbit family’ ? It seems this family will simply dump you and throw you under the nearest bus, dump the **ahem**e Ionic and buy a Garmin.
What a waste of £300, Rant over x

Thanks Fitbit team!
Could you let me know who the team are working on the fix? Just so I can avoid hiring them for anything at all in the future. As I’ve said to you in many emails, the only thing you have helped with is multiplying my level of annoyance with your scripted pointless responses. I’ve told you where I bought my Fitbit and you have all my details, so how about you tell me whether I have a valid warranty claim or not? That way you’re actually offering a service.

Yup, next victim here and I share your frustrations .
See my post "Ionic HR Dropping Issue during intense activity an......"
I cannot believe Fitbit's solution-less reply on the issue of the HR on their Top Tier Watch.
I mean, they are expecting me to accept the Ionic as a GLORIFIED FITNESS TRACKER, good only for sedentary lifestyle monitoring.....
Jumping ship soon to the 2 popular choices, Polar & Garmin.
