Ionic in the house (and a few queries)

Well I've got to say I got my Fitbit Ionic today, configured including the OS upgrade to FitbitOS 2 and all working well.

The only issues I've got to resolve are:

• The PC music transfer tool will not see a lot of MP3 files (what formats are supported)?
• Weather app is not finding my current location

 Apart from that all defined notifications are working, all Fitbit health systems, Strava linking.

The very good news is that it can monitor my heart rate through my tattoos which is something the Gear S3 couldn't.

It feels great on the wrist and the display is very clear. One happy man so far!

dbrewood, regarding your Weather App question, on the Fitbit App dashboard, click on the Account icon at the upper right (looks like a page) and then Iconic at the left.  Click on Apps and scroll to Weather where you can define your location.

Can't help you with Music as I don't use that feature.

Thanks for the response. Strangely enough after I entered the app (without setting any locations) it all started working. Weirdness!

Congratulations on your purchase. Good to hear you are having more success with the Ionic HR sensor over the Gear S3.

I haven't any experience with storing music on the device, could it be something to do with the bit rates?

As for the weather app, what mobile platform are you using? Have you given the fitbit app permission to use your location data?

LOL cheers guys. Weather now working well enough, so the only things I've now got to sort out are:

• Find out if I can set up a QR code for Costa Coffee (code has been entered in the QR code app but nothing displays).
• Configure Switchr to work with IFTTT / Maker
• Find a free of charge rich stats face I like (clear, colourful, stats meters etc).
• Work out how to pair BT headphones (a task for tomorrow)

Very happy with how it is working so far!
