I left my IONIC on the side last night & it was working fine. Got up this morning & it shows no heart rate, steps or calories etc. I have tried syncing, switching off & unpairing to repair but still no joy. Rather frustrating. Steps etc show on my phone but not on watch home screen. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Super annoyed.

Have you restarted it several times? Restart your tracker

If that doesnt help then try a factory reset

FACTORY RESET USING BUTTONS
On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, then continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time, or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

If the device turns on, please go back to the Fitbit app and setup your device back to your account with these steps. Make sure your watch is plugged into a wall plug or a computer, next to the router and that there are no other trackers or devices with Bluetooth on nearby when setting up.  Please log into your account, go to account on the upper right corner, there look for "setup a device" and tap on it. Follow the instructions on the screen and let the watch charge for 2 hours.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Fairy3058, hope you're doing great! Hey, thanks for the great recommendations @NellyGSmiley Very Happy

While reading the post I was wondering if by any chance your Ionic display is blank or so? If the screen is blank, what I guess here is that probably your tracker ran out of battery. Have you tried charging it at least 1 hour? Even if you don't get anything on the screen I'd recommend charging your tracker at least 1 hour to see if the battery icon comes up after that period of time.

Charging fully takes up to 2 hours. While the watch charges, you can tap the screen or press any button to check the battery level.

If after the 1-2 hours you don't get anything on the display, check if the contacts on your tracker or charging cable are not dirty. Dust and debris can accumulate over time and prevent a charge. Try cleaning them by following these instructions.

How do you charge your buddy? Have you checked if by any chance the USB port or outlet is faulty? If you haven't done so, try a different port. A UL-certified wall charger will also work. Don't use a USB hub.

If so, plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or a UL-certified USB wall charger.

Hold the other end of the charging cable near the port on the back of the watch until attaches magnetically.

I'd also try restarting your Ionic once more by following these steps just as my friend @NellyG mentioned above.

Also, if you're seeing that your Fitbit app is syncing data even when your tracker is not. I was wondering if you use MobileTrack?

MobileTrack lets you use the Fitbit app without a Fitbit device by using your phone's sensors to track basic activity data including steps, distance, and calories burned. MobileTrack does not track floors, sleep, or active minutes. In addition to activity tracking, you also have access to other app features such as:

  • Food tracking
  • Weight tracking
  • Setting fitness goals
  • Adding friends
  • Friends leaderboard
  • Cheering, taunting, and messaging friends

Once you set up MobileTrack, your phone tracks your steps regardless of whether you're logged into the app. Log in to the app when you want to see your progress. Assuming your phone is frequently connected to the internet, your phone always stores data for the last seven days (including today). If you do not have an internet connection for weeks or even months, your phone will store your data until you connect to the internet and sync your data.

Hope all this information helps. Let us know the outcome!

Thank you so much. Took a super long time to get there but your factory re set solution worked. Oddly, my steps taken were still on there.  I just need to remember this for next time.

As of noon on Monday my ionic stopped tracking my heart rate. The screen says (null) any clue why it may be doing this?

I have exactly the same problem. Reset Fitbit Icon and now is working. But this is issue that should not happen. We need accurate account of activities, otherwise what is the point of having Fitbit.
