I am having a similar problem with my Ionic. It recently stopped tracking steps and heartbeat.
I have updated the application (version 2.7.3) and have updated the firmware (version 27.32.10.15)
I also have deleted and removed the Ionic twice.
I did a factory reset of the device twice.
When the firmware is being updated I noticed the phone app kept spinning, so didnt seem to finish.
Not sure what to try next.

There is no fix and they lost me as a customer because of this.
They can take their 40% and ******. Feel free to fill in the stars.
In other news, apple watch is working great! You can also download an app that syncs your steps with Fitbit so you don't lose out on tracking.

Yes it was not excusable. Also the 50% wasn’t that great of a deal bc on eBay it’s about that price!! I stuck with them but not happy. I know for sure it was a software issue bc it happened right after I did the update. They kept giving me automated emails. What a joke. What app syncs the steps With Apple? (asking for a friend!)

Sync Solver. It costs like 4.99 up front but that's it.

I am facing the same problem on my Ionic - Firmware 27.33.1.30 and Fitbit Android App is 3.5
My steps and heart rate are not being tracked, only few steps a day like in 2 digits. Last evening I reset my tracker on factory settings and setup again - but no luck so far.

I have same problem my ionic is not tracking steps and heart rate since the software updated. It is very annoying. Either product or software defect, Fitbit should protect customer interest though. We bought the product because we trusted the quality and reliability.

Hi Marre, or anyone who can help,
i have the same issue. Mz fitbit does not measure mz heartrate anymore not my steps (both on my ionic and in my app). I noticed this yesterday. I have followed all tips and instruction i found on this forum including the steps in this post. While checking if I had the last version of the app in the app store i noticed that my app was updated two days ago... (my phone automatically updates apps)... so seems exactly at the time it stopped working...
my iPhone runs ios 13.1.3 ( in case this is useful info)
would be great if someone can help...

Check to see if it’s still under warranty with Fitbit. I ended up getting 40 percent off a new one. They never owned up to the issues with this Fitbit.

Mine has just broken in the same way. I have no idea where my receipt is, I have it pretty much a year to the day.

Frustrating... i have this ionic approx a year.... but actually it was already a replacement as with my first ionic which I bought 2 years ago the screan started to fade away completely... the one I have now was a free replacement. And I have to say, customer service was great that time. I posted my problem on this forum and inmediately one of the moderators contacted me and the problem was reviewed and a new one sent to me within a couple of days...
this time less response... will try to connect with fitbit in another way...
And actually the ionic was not my first fitbit, had a small one before, but that broke as well...
problem is that I also bought the fitbit scale... so bit tied up with fitbit....
I am normally more of an apple guy, but honestly dont like their design that much...
i will give it one more try...

Dear all, I am amazed with the service fitbit gives! After logging my issue someone at fitbit connected with me, and worked with me through some possible solutions... nothing worked... they did some checks on my guarantees.... and now, just a couple of days later, I am waring my new replacement Ionic ... free of charge!
ionic might not be the best quality, but in my experience fitbits service is!

If you also updated your software.... then I would click “help” on top of this page, scroll down, en hit “get support”, after doing this their customer service contacted me and helped me to solve... for me at the end they could not, but they did sent me a replacement....
so: me = happy customer again 😉
good luck!

Same problem I've done every possible fix:
Restart (various)
Factory reset
Delete app and re-install
Update clock face
H/R on
Repair device
Still no tracking of steps or heart rate and will not recalibrate. Also saying update tracker having doing so 10x.
GPS still works when logging a run or hike.
Very frustrating as only bought the adidas to track my exercise
