For the last 3-4 days my notifications on my Ionic have not been working correctly. I will get a text/facebook message on my phone and my ionic will not vibrate but when I swipe down the notification is there. I have turned off Bluetooth and reinstalled, synced, removed all notifications and re-added. I will get vibrations for reminders to move, alarms, and times, its only the notifications that are not working. Does anyone know how to solve this?

It's so ridiculous that so many people have this problem, and it's so hard to fix. My wife and I also both have this problem. We gave up. It's so irritating.

I have been having this problem for 4 days now. Factory reset 4 times. Basic reboot 6 times. Power off/on 3 times. Alarms don't vibrate, setting the alarm no longer vibrates. Nothing is vibrating. Notifications are fine but just no vibration. I need to get this fixed since this in my alarm clock.

Have you tried this..... Hold down the left button....since I have payment methods stored, my cards show up. Swipe left and you'll see a second screen with screen wake and Notifications. You must turn notifications on here as well.

I have done all of these. I have turned it off, removed it from my phone and restored it to factory settings. It is still not vibrating with calls or texts when they come in. Please help.

I've recently upgraded my iPhone & have been having same problem - no notification of calls, messages etc, but the notification there! I've read through all the comments but decided to go to last & most recent comment which was yours kiwi_13 & am pleased to say your suggestion worked re turning notifications on. No ideas how they came to be turned off - but hey all seems ok now. So thank you for an easy solution 👍

Yay, glad it's working. Maybe they come factory set as off. Because mine was off

I tried this and I don't have a second screen. I tried swiping left after holding the left button down but nothing happened.
I don't have a second screen. I can't find the notification setting anywhere.

Hi there, get to your main photo/clock screen and swipe left you should see exercise, alarms, relax, timer etc. When you get to settings click on that and scroll to you can see vibrations and notifications and change these settings.
when you click on notifications change the three options: during Exercise, sleep and device locked

Hi there, First thing I would do is remove the device from your bluetooth settings and re-add the device, and then this is what I did to get my notifications working.
Step one: press and hold the left and right bottom button simultaneously till your screen flashes, this refreshes the device.
Step two: hold down your left hand side button until the below screen appears then turn your notifications to 'on'.
Step three: when you screen is at your main menu where you see the loaded apps exercise, alarms, music, etc you will see the settings app, click on this.
Step four: scroll to you see the vibrations option - i have set mine to 'strong'
Step five: scroll till you see the 'Notifications' option click on this.(please note this is different than in step two).
Step six: once you have clicked on the 'notifications' option you get three choices for the notifications, i have ticked all three - see below. Once this is done if you want to go back to step one and refresh your devices - fingers crossed you will start seeing your notifications.

I'm having the same problems. I've tried all the suggestions and it's still not working.
THANK YOU!! Pressing just the left button worked. When I did that it showed notifications were off. Very strange because they were on everywhere else. Thank you again!

Same issue is happening to my Ionic. I'm running the latest version of the firmware (27.68.9.15) and iOS 13.1.2 on my iPhone. Notifications are visible when I swipe down from my clock face, but the watch doesn't vibrate nor light up upon receiving new notifications. On the watch itself, notifications are enabled and it's not in sleep or do not disturb mode. A reboot of the Ionic didn't help either.
This issue has started appearing since the new Ionic firmware, so it's (probably) unrelated to the iOS 13 issues other people (including Garmin users btw) seem to experience.
Perhaps someone from Fitbit can chime in here?

I am also not getting any vibration with notifications. I have tried all of your troubleshooting steps you have posted so far and none have solved the problem.
I have to assume it was caused by the latest update because the vibration for notifications stopped after the update. I had an issue with notifications for months after the update prior to this one and this is extremely frustrating.
Please help me fix this issue.
