After three months of using Ionic, it started having synchronization problems. First switching on and off Bluetooth helped, then restarting ionic helped, until one day nothing helped and I lost connection to the device. Then I removed Ionic from the Fitbit app, deleted the app, factory reset ionic, only to end up at best to pair it again on Bluetooth after some 10x trial. But this was a small victory as the device never found Wifi, got stuck at upgrading to new SW (0% of SW package data transferred) and never booted again.
When contacting support, they argued that the device has synced the same day - which at best was based on interpreting the factory rebooted device to be able to pair as syncing...
I bought the device in Germany at Saturn, but now living in another country. I have no option to replace it, as Fitbit does not seem to have a replacement service or repair network globally. In two years, I bought Garmin and Fitbit top devices, only to throw them in the bin. I did not want to go for Apple watch, I wanted a reliable fitness tracker with GPS with an intuitive app. I thought I found it...
