Ionic is syncing correctly, but the screen is blank

My Ionic battery went flat today. After fully charging it, the screen has remained blank. When accessing the app, I can see that it is syncing correctly and logging my steps.

I've tried all button pushing combinations to reboot it, but the issue remains.

Wife's Versa did exactly this last year. Screen has a slight grey background when a button is pressed (visible in the dark or in low light) This happened after a swim. Fitbit replaced it out of goodwill as no purchase receipt. Dozens of resets standing on my head, holding my mouth right didn't help. I still charge it up every few months and try again.

 

LOL!
