Ionic is tracking run/walks but not showing the map

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My ionic is tracking my run / walks but is not showing the route on the map i have asked about this a couple of times over the last few weeks. I have checked my app and it has failed to register at least 30 times during the month of December. This is so annoying.

Thank you

Pam

@Pamela1965, are these run/walk exercises being automatically tracked by your Ionic, or are you manually tracking them with the Exercise app?

Hi usaf

I manually track my runs/ walks on the fitbit app. Is it possible to track on strava using the app on the watch and not having to take my phone out with me.

Thank you

@USAF-Larry Thanks for your assistance on the thread.

@Pamela1965 A warm welcome to the Fitbit Community. Thanks for the details mentioned.

Please confirm you have tried this troubleshooting to track your run/walks with GPS. If the workouts aren't showing a map after your watch syncs, log out from the Fitbit app, force quit it, clear cache and log back in again.

If you experience the same again, attach a screenshot to your next reply and let me know the phone model and OS installed.

Let me know how it goes.

@Pamela1965, this is fairly easy.  Open your phone's Settings->Apps->Fitbit, do a Force Stop, then select Storage and Clear Cache, Clear Data.  Then close the Settings screen, and re-open the Fitbit app.

@Pamela1965 Thank you for getting back.

I'd like to gather some more information about the issue you're experiencing, reply to the following questions:

- Is your Ionic tracking your walk and showing a GPS signal through your workout?
- Is the map showing on your app but not loading?
- Can you confirm if you get the same information in your app and online Dashboard?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

HiThanks for your reply. The be answer to your first question is no most of the time my watch is showing no gps signal. On the app it just shows a breakdown of my splits see the below. This happens most days then it could do a few runs and work perfectly. I dont understand why it does this it is so annoying.
Thank you
Pam
