Ionic isn't setting up with LG G7 thinq

I had used a Fitbit Blaze for about 2 years with both my LG G6 and most recently with my new LG G7 thinQ.

After the unexpected death of the Blaze about a week ago, I debated staying with Fitbit or moving on...  but in the end bought a new Ionic as a replacement.  I certainly didn't anticipate any compatibility issues since there was no problem in migrating my Blaze to the LG G7.  (Yes I should probably looked into this further before making the purchase).  In any event, I now have a fairly expensive tracker that refuses to  pair with my phone (in fact it can't be discovered).  I have used the G7 with a variety of other  Bluetooth devices without any issues.

Can anyone please tell me if there is an existing  solution available or perhaps in the works?  My Ionic just arrived today and I now have to decide if I should keep it or get rid of it.  I've made a decision that the phone stays.

Any advice will be appreciated.

A warm welcome to the Community @Dogonritz. Thanks for letting me know that before purchasing the Fitbit Ionic, you used to have a Fitbit Blaze.

I'm glad to hear that you were enjoying your Fitbit Blaze. I've checked the list of compatible devices and I noticed that the LG G6 that you used to have was a compatible phone. However, the LG G7 thinQ, that you just bought isn't in the list and this is why you're unable to pair it to your phone.

I can confirm that our team is always testing new devices and adding them to the list. However, I don't have any time frame about when this will be added, you can try this syncing procedure.

As a side note, you can take a look at the Fitbit Returns & Warranty here

I'll be around if you need further assistance.
