Ionic kiss of death

I think my Ionic bit the dust like many others I’ve seen posted about recently!

 

The last sync was at 7:41 PM yesterday after which it died. I plugged it in and nothing happened. At this point I did something research and decided to try a factory reset. I also tried every other possible combination of buttons, holding them for 15 seconds, 30 seconds, a minute, nothing! I tried multiple different outlets in my house, made sure the cord was clean, and left it on the charger over night. I’ve been trying the factory reset again this morning but I think it’s over.

 

Unfortunately, like everyone else whose Ionic’s have died, mine is past the warranty as I’ve had it for about 16 months. I definitely thought I would get at least a couple years out of this product so this is disappointing.

THE SAME EXACT THING HAPPENED TO ME LAST NIGHT!!! I woke up to a brick on my wrist. I wonder if an update was rolled out poorly. 

 

I have a been a ride or die loyal fitbit user for years. I messaged customer service for some answers, and they just gave me a small discount off a new one.... Like what? Why would I buy another one right now? It is not a small investment, even for a product I love. Especially if I have no assurances it will last longer than a year.  

 

Not cool Fitbit.
