Ionic locked out and says to use phone but how?

A place you hit the button or something while wearing watch and now it's locked out. I touch screen Nx it says "unlock with your phone". How do I do that as can't find a way.

By going into the Fitbit app, account, ionic, device lock, change pin. 

You will be asked to enter the phones unlock code.

You can’t, this is a glitch in the software the will have to replace your ionic. 

If you are out of warranty you are screw. Be aware these watches life span is just one year, 18 months top.

You can't what, @frankmch I have purposely messed up and locked the tracker. Using the Fitbit app it took less than 30 seconds to unlock. 

The other way that has been proven is to do a factory restore.
