I had my Fitbit ionic for more than 2 years now and I could go several days without charging, even after doing 2 or 3 hours lesmills classes each day and I don't use the GPS and suddenly yesterday I started losing battery life at a rate of 25% to 50% per hour. For example last night, before bed, I charged it to 100% and I woke up in the middle of the night the watch was dead while not doing anything other than sleeping.
Things I've done to troubleshoot.
-Restarted multiple times.
-Factory reset
-Restarted Phone.
I've read several threads about this issue and have not come across a solution, not have I seen anyone who is suffering battery drain at the rate I'm experiencing it.
Any solutions? Something I missed?
please help

Mine is doing the same thing as well. Tried all of the resets. I am on a replacement as my first was faulty at about the year mark. This one is only a few months. So disappointed as I love it when it's working and rely on it for work and managing my health. Plus like others have been on it since 2014 so love to see the continued data trends. Good to know others are having a similar issue, thanks to everyone for sharing. I will now contact support to find a resolution. Anyone switch from the Ionic to the Sense, seems like they are fading out the Ionic line. Maybe because of the issues??

I have the same issue and am 100% sure this issue is related to the latest firmware. I was getting 4 to 5 days in between charges on my 2 year old ionic right up until I installed the latest firmware. Instantly battery life has gone down to less than 2 days.
I tried everything as most people in this chat have as well and it made no difference. I contacted fitbit customer support who refused to confirm or deny the issue was related to the latest firmware but like I said, I noticed straight away after the firmware install the battery drained significantly faster.
I can prove it as well. I have kept all the notification e-mails saying the battery on my ionic was low. This shows the dramatic drop in battery life immediately after the firmware install.
