After my morning walk, I noticed that none of the exercise data (other than steps) appeared to sync. When I attempt a manual sync, the app only shows connected. I have rebooted the Ionic, rebooted the iPhone, logged out of the Fitbit app, logged back in. Nothing changes the connected status, or allows the exercise data to be synced to the app.
The application, upon logging in, showed the last time the watch had synced was 20:00 last night.
Nothing changed overnight with the phone or the watch.

My problem appears to have been the iOS app, after it started having issues, it was reporting that I didn't have bluetooth on, on the phone. It was also having issue connecting to a Windows 10 Surface Book, but did connect to a Dell tower. Worked great (very slow) on a first generation iPad mini.
Works great on the iPhone X after the 11.2 update.

Update: Noticed that the app shows steps, however the web dashboard shows 0 steps and displays the last sync time as 20:00 last night.

Hey there @SunsetRunner, it's nice to see you around the forums. Thanks for already troubleshooting this syncing issue, nice way to go my friend!
Keep in mind that syncing difficulty is usually caused by a missing requirement. Verify each requirement before moving on to the troubleshooting steps.
If your device still won't sync, try these steps:
Once your tracker syncs, check the web dashboard to see if your data was also updated there.
Give this a shot and let me know how it goes!

Much of what you say, shouldn't matter. Nothing changed from working, yesterday, to this morning, except that I slept. While I was taking a shower, magically the Ionic synced, while charging (it was only down to 30%), but the app still only shows connected, and won't sync.
This is the second major issue I've had with this Ionic.

Problem found. There is a firmware update available, however, that isn't known until a reset to factory settings is done. Now the Ionic will not be detected by my iPhone.

Am I the only one that has issues when it comes to firmware updates on my Ionic? I'm waiting to see if it completes for the 5th time. The last two have been using bluetooth instead of wifi.

@SunsetRunner you're not alone. But I'm afraid the firmware update will do little if anything good... I updated during the weekend and ever since I have lost all data syncing... Meaning no data from the last 4 days... Except for a faulty sleep tracking Monday morning. And besides updating the tracker I've done nothing that would cause the missing sync.

That's ok, at least your's took the update. I'm stuck with an Ionic that won't complete the update. I've tried around 14 times using iPhone, Windows Surface Book, Dell Desktop, using wifi and bluetooth. I'm waiting for a response from tech support now. I ask, 'what's next'?

I'm with you.
It's not been the sweet honeymoon I'd hoped either...
Hopefully - and I'm wishing on and counting all my lucky stars - Fitbit gets it right with the app gallery update but so far this has been anything from a happy union between me and the Ionic...
