I recently tried to update my fitbit Ionic and it ruined my fitbit in the process. I am now stuck on the Fitbit logo screen. The fitbit got stuck while running the update. I did chat with someone at fitbit and we tried multiple things, including factory reset. Nothing works. The person that helped me was very friendly and helpful but in the end I was offered a 25% discount on a new fitbit as nothing worked. My app no longer can find my fitbit because it is stuck on that logo screen. Tried letting battery die and that didn't help either. I understand that my fitbit is over the 1 year warranty but I personally find it unfair that it was the update that fitbit offers that wrecked my fitbit. It really isn't that old, over a year though. I would understand if it just died or something on it's own, but the update ruined it. I feel this should be covered or someone should have a fix for this. Curious if anyone else has found a fix that works. Is it fair that I just have to throw away my fitbit due to update error? Thanks all!

so many people.. this has been going on for weeks.. mine won't do ANYTHING and I have done all the troubleshooting multiple times. Unless it's less than a year old (US) or 2 (UK) the only option from them is a 25% off coupon.

I have not called anyone yet but my screen is black and it will not turn back on. If that is all that they are willing to do I will not be purchasing another one. That is just wrong to to to people that by no fault of their own have to purchase another one when there was nothing wrong with the one they had until they decided it needed an update. I will be letting all my friends know so they can let their friends know what kind of a company they are.
