Logged back in. Let it rest to Update during the Night White Both Phone and watch where charging battery meanwhile. No Luck.

I thought I could Update through Fitbit web with phone connected to pc. No luck.

installed Fitbit app on pc. Could not log in using the login/password uset for Fitbit web-login.

now im frustrated. I just wanted to go running with my new watch 😞

thank you. It took two days with trial and error before the fitbit ionc finally was updated with the new OS... I had to switch several times between bluetooth and wifi and left it 24 hours i the charger trying to update.

I did not feel the procedure was very user friendly. Take a look at Sonos... they surely know how to make user friendly setup and upgrade of their devices using only wifi.

@Adavalby Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Sorry for the delayed response. Thanks for reporting the situation you have experienced with your brand new Ionic and its firmware update not completing. Are you still experiencing the same?

If you are, I'd recommend following the update firmware troubleshooting steps found on that helpful article. That should certainly help you out as it has helped other users in the past. Please note you can do the update through Wi-Fi or through Bluetooth.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

@Adavalby Thanks for your reply and for sharing those details. Also, thanks for providing your helpful feedback regarding this process.

I'm glad to read that it finally updated correctly. Did you had a strong WI-Fi connection? That could influence in the time it takes to update.

Also, take a look at the Discussions Board as you will find a lot of interesting things there. Feel free to post on any thread you want. If you are looking for Fitbit friends to compete with on challenges, check this thread to add some!
