Ionic not able to sync with moto z2 force

My husband recently upgrade his phone to a moto z2 force and got the new ionic fitbit. He has not been able to get them to sync together. It will initially find the tracker but wont go any further. Any ideas?

Hello @Schroeder1223 and Welcome.  If you go to this link (https://www.fitbit.com/devices), you can check and see if your device is compatible, however, I just did a quick check, and didn't see your device listed, which would explain your issues.
