Ionic not charging

I was on a trip and I forgot my charging cable, so my Ionic ran completely out of battery.

Came home, and now it will not charge at all. It is 100% dead.

I think I've tried everything:

Two different Ionic charging cables

3 or 4 different USB charging adapters, + a computer

Cleaning the connectors

Leaving the cable in for 30 minutes+

2 button reset

3 button reset

Anything left to try? I've never had any charging issues before, but I never let it run completely out of battery before either.

The Ionic should apparently come with a gigantic "Don't ever let it run out of battery" warning label, as that seems to risk breaking it. Very frustrating.

Update:

Left the Ionic connected to a computer via the charging cable all night. Still appeared dead this morning, but 2 button reset suddenly worked. Ionic turned on and the battery is full.

so apparently it will charge, it will just take MANY hours. I had previously left it in for at least 2 or 3 hours without any responsiveness. Very strange, but I'll guess I'll try as best I can to avoid ever running completely out of battery.

Thanks for the response Ricardo. I would like you to know that the charging recommendations page make no mention of issues with charging when the battery runs out completely, I only found out about the solution of leaving it plugged in for many hours by reading posts by other forum members in other threads.

Perhaps the web pages should be updated to give actually useful troubleshooting advice as shared by community members. Smiley Wink
