Ionic not connecting to Bluetooth

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My fitbit Ionic has been acting up the last few days. Not able to sync with the app at all. I've tried uninstalling the app, restarting both the watch and the phone and still nothing. I got desperate and decided to factory reset the ionic and still nothing... bluetooth does not pick up the fitbit at all. My $200 watch is now a paper weight. Can someone please help me fix this issue?

Hi @Skyshark1989,

On the Ionic, Settings>Bluetooth, scroll down to Restore Music Controls and press for pair. Go into your phone and search for new device. Make sure no other Bluetooth connection too/from the phone is active/connected.

For Sync issues, If on an Android phone go into Settings>Apps & notifications, and in the Fitbit app hit FORCE STOP. You can also (optional?) press storage and then CLEAR CACHE.

In the FB app try several more times to sync. Scroll down to sync and also hit your account photo/imoji, Ionic and try Sync Now. May take several tries. This is how I sync after it goes stale every couple of days.

Mine is probably an Android 9 issue as I believe changes were made to background running of Apps. A real PITA. Not sure about Android 10+ or iOS. Wife's Android 8 phone has few syncing problems with her Versa.
