It has been a frustrating few days with this Ionic. I purchased it in mid January of this year to replace my Apple Watch. The Apple was getting old and having issues with battery life. So I picked up the Ionic at Best Buy, got it home, had it set up in a fair amount of time. All was good. It seemed to be working fine until three days ago. I always have it on unless a charge is needed but I noticed that the battery had drained faster than usual and the time was almost 25 minutes slower. I turned it off then back on and nothing, same incorrect time. I tried everything to get it right with no success. I also noticed that the Ionic was no longer connected to my iPhone 7. It was showing in the Bluetooth list but would not connect. I decided to do a factory reset, huge mistake. I have attempted to reset this thing at least a half dozen times, removed and reinstalled the app from the phone, tried to get it going with the Windows 10 app, nothing. I have been sitting here for the last two hours giving it one last shot to see if it will take. The phone finds it after 10 minutes but it will not connect to it. There are also issues with connecting to my home network that did not exist in the past. I hate to think that I have a $300.00 paperweight now but it looks like that may be the case. I just don't get these tech companies, if it isn't broken why fix it? I have already started to research new devices and any Fitbit product will not be on my list. Anyone else having these problem?

Similar situation for me. I posted on FB and support ran me through a bunch of solutions. None which worked. I have a case open. Honestly I think they have an app glitch since so many people are having issues with different devices.

Hello @Magilla316 and @Kencarol0588, Welcome! Sorry to hear you are having problems with your Ionics'. As an Ionic owner myself, let me suggest you do a "RESET" on your Ionic. You do this by pressing down the LEFT and BOTTOM RIGHT buttons together and holding them down until the Fitbit Icon appears, then release. This will usually straighten things out. Please post back, should you need any further assistance! Thanks and Keep on STEPPING!

Hello @GySgt_Seidell,
Thank you for the info but everything I tried just was not working. Today was the 5th day for these issues. I purchased my Ionic at Best Buy in mid January but I had forgotten that I had purchased a two year warranty with it. I took it back today and was given a replacement with another two year warranty. It cost me a little over $16.00 to keep it going. Right now the new Ionic is updating but it is connected to the home Wi Fi and my iPhone 7. I will post the results one it is finished. I do appreciate the info very much though sir. Thanks!

Hi Gunny,
As promised here is what I have found. The replacement Ionic found both the home Wi Fi and my iPhone. It was connected to the iPhone during the first half of the update. When it rolled to the second part (installation I'm thinking) it was not paired with the phone but was still on the network. I had it on the charger as this was happening and it finished up around 11:00 PM with a 98% charge. It has been working alright thus far. My sleep was recorded and it seems to be doing alright with steps and heart rate. Two issues still remain, first being the battery life. I've gone from 98% at 11 last night to 84% as I type this. It seems to me the drain is a bit much. Second is the Battery Charging screen appears when I wake it up. I have tried to reset it but it still shows when awakening it again. This is really not that much of an issue as I just hit the left button and my clock face appears. One other issue I just noticed, the Ionic is no longer connected to my phone. This might be intermittent though as the time is correct. So this is where I'm at right now. I just wanted to pass that along to you. Thanks again Gunny.
