Ionic not displaying the text message

Update: FIXED!

I realized that if you have "preview text messages" turned OFF on your messaging app, it wont push the message to the fitbit.

 

Hey everyone, I just got my ionic set up as easy.

 

Problem I'm having is that the text messages never show what's inside them. The ionic just displays the senders name and that they text me, but never what's inside the message. Its super annoying as I updated from my surge which was doing the exact same thing and I thought this new model would fix it 

 

I'm using an LG G6.

Any help or is this how its supposed to work?
