I purchased my ionic in October and I have not been able utilize any of the features for which I purchased. Not one time have been able to use an app, music, fitbit pay. It only synchs randomly so uts function as fitness tracker is useless. Basically I have an ugly watch. I’ve attempted to find solutions in the fitbit community and with tech support. At best, the device will synch at that moment but never a permanent solution. Downloading updates is next to impossible. The amount of time and effort invested in getting the device to do its most basic of functions is an absolute disgrace. I’ve been a fitbit user since the first generation of devices came out and have upgraded with each new release. I am beyond disgusted with Fitbit’s response to these issues! I want my money back! I’m now being told refunds are only available if purchased through fitbit and is w/in 45d of purchase. If purchased elsewhere you need to go through them. I will not rest until fitbit does the right thing. I encourage all of you to return w/in the return policy window. If you are like me and patiently waited for fitbit to correct these issues and now ineligible for a money back return...please take to social media with your experience. Report them to all/any regulatory agencies. Share your experience in reviews. Having been a fitbit user for years I’m shocked at the deplorable customer service they are providing.

Sorry to hear that. Mine has worked well. Just set up 2 CC for Fitpay. Paid $3 for the very cool pro weather watch face. Don't use the music but did set up a few times just to see how it worked. GL in the future.

PS. did you make sure you hooked the Ionic to wifi when doing upgrades? That is found on the phone app.
