Ionic not holding a charge and cannot turn it off

I've had my IONIC for over two years.  Up to two weeks ago my battery was lasting 5 days.  That was awesome.  Last weekend I charged it, and 24 hours later it was dead.  I charged it again and it lasted 18 hours.

I tried to connect it to my iPhone and it would not connect.

I did a full reset (not factory reset) and it didn't help.  I tried to turn it off (Settings / About) and the About won't allow itself to be chosen.  It clicks, the screen turns blue, and then kicks me back out to Settings.

I was trying to find a link to do a full reinstall of the operating system, but I can't find it anywhere.  I'm thinking of doing a factory reset, but if the OS is screwed up, it won't help.

Anyone have any ideas on how to get the OS reinstalled???

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Pampas.

Thank you for trying to resolve the issue with your Fitbit Ionic before contacting us.

There is no option to reinstall the OS. In this case, I would recommend setting up your Watch as a replacement device:

  1. Tap the Today tab EdsonFitbit_0-1636331749333.png, and tap your profile picture.
  2. Tap Set Up a Device.
  3. Choose your device and follow the on-screen instructions to continue.

If you are having difficulties to set up your Ionic, please follow these troubleshooting steps.

Hope this helps.
