Why is my Ionic not notifying me when I have achieved 10,000 steps. All the required settings have been switched on

Try a restart. Do it at least 3 times.

Thank you Wendy B (Community Legend) for the suggestion of restarting. I
tried at least 6 times with no success.
What did work was a visit to my playstore app to uninstall the app and then
re-install app
