This morning my ionic stopped receiving text notifications. I receive all other notifications.
I unpaired and repaired my device, turned off notifications and restarted my phone then turned notifications on again, restarted my fitbit - I have tried all the suggestions on the fitbit forums that I found and nothing... any way this can be fixed?
This is not the first time this happened and in the past a hard restart of my ionic fixed it but it’s not working this time... if this keeps happening I may switch to an Apple Watch...

I have an iPhone X - I figured out that in notifications on the iPhone you HAVE to have messages set to “Notification Center” or it won’t send notifications to your fitbit - I turned that back on and it works now...

Seems odd that your device is not receiving only the text notifications, I appreciate your time and effort troubleshooting this situation prior making your post. First., I'd like to to know which mobile device you're currently using to sync your Ionic? I suggest you to check our list of compatible devices because this might be the cause. I'm glad to see that your notifications difficulties were resolved. I also recommend you to change verify if the setting under "Banner Style" is in persistent instead of temporary. I've noticed and received some reports that after changing these settings some users were able to receive text notifications without any trouble.

I am having the same issue with my Ionic. I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+. I have had no problems in the past. I have tried all solutions listed and still no text notifications. Emails and Phone Calls work just fine.

I appreciate your effort and patience troubleshooting your Ionic. To make sure your Fitbit device receive notifications from your Android phone, open the Settings app on your phone and confirm or adjust the following settings:

I have confirmed that those settings are in place properly and reset my phone and Ionic. Still not receiving text notifications. However, I was not prompted to turn on location settings.

Well, looks like it was my phone that was the issue. I checked for software and firmware update, and it turns out my phone was due for a software update. Completed that, reset my phone and Ionic. All notifications are being received.

Ever since the updates in November & December 2019, I no longer get text or email notifications on my Samsung Galaxy. Note 5. i occassionally get phone call notifications. i have uninstalled both the app and my Ionic. I have gone through all the steps listed on the forum. I have all the "sync" option turned on. Everythimg worked find until Nov/Sec updates on bothe the app & Ionic firmware. The app was the Dec 11, 2019 android update & the My Ionic is basically now only as good as my old Alta. I spent the over $200 to be able to get text & emial notifications.
Am I the only one with this problem?
