Ionic not recording bike rides

On the past 3 occasions that I have been on my bike the app has not recorded the ride. It used to show on the map where I have been including the speed, heart rate and calories used etc but it doesn't anymore. Any ideas why

@Cocky2909 A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for the detailed information shared.

I'd like you to let me know if you're tracking your workouts using SmartTrack or the exercise app on your watch. If you're using SmartTrack and it's not auto recognizing your workouts, please lower the detection to 10 minutes.

If you're using the exercise app, please confirm you're doing this procedure to track your workout.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

  • Hello. I am using the exercise app on my Ionic fitbit watch. I select Exercise, then bike, then start. I wait for the GPS to connect and then I start my ride. When I finish I end it on the watch but when I check on my phone it's only recorded the time and distance and nothing else.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Did you ever find a solution? Maybe it's related to the most recent firmware update?

I didn't find a solution as it still wouldn't record, however last week I
set my watch to stay on, ie show the information all of the time. It did
then show the full ride but my watch ran out of power after 2 hours but
wasn't sure how fully charged it was.
Hope this is helpful
