Ionic not showing words and numbers

I installed the update about an hour ago and now all I see on my device are the app images and nothing else. Word and numbers have disappeared. Have restarted the phone many times and still nothing. 

if this update has need up my ionic and it needs to be replaced, I will be done with Fitbit. 

My Ionic was working just fine our t the update. 

Frustrated is an understatement!!!!
