Did you mean:

Ionic not syncing and now it can't be set up

My fitbit hasn't ever been able to update. I just dealt with it

Today though it stopped syncing altogether.

I've tried:

Restart Ionic

Restart phone

Uninstall and reinstall app

Factory reset of ionic

Bluetooth on/off and re pair

Now I'm stuck with a factory reset ionic and it won't set up with my phone. I've tried over and over. It says it finds my ionic but then fails during "connecting" and I've tried all the things it says to do at that point (restart, restart bluetooth etc.)

Any ideas on what to try next?

I'm having the same issue. Stopped syncing 5/17.  Won't pair.

Hello @jackofclubs and welcome!  I would suggest the following:

1.  Force Close the Fitbit App on your device.

2.  Restart your device.

3.  Reset your Ionic.

4.  After your Ionic restarts and your device restarts, open the Fitbit App.

5.  Attempt to SYNC your Ionic and your device.

Let me know how it goes or if you have any problems.,  Thanks!

My ionic stopped syncin may 17th too. Tried everything mentioned here.... I removed the device and now i can't install it. Get the same message as this case. Have you resolved the problem? Life my Fitbit Ionic and have been missing the syncing.

Nope my Ionic is now only good as a paperweight as they had me reset to factory setting and during the download-syncing process it failed resulting in my ionic no longer operating.  It doesn't turn on, light up, or show any signs of life.  Customer support could only apologize and gave me a coupon for 25% off select products.

Hello @Sarahann90 , I was going to suggest the Factory Reset as a final option, but apparently, you have already done that.  I wish I had further options for you!

Hello @Lovise1977 and welcome!  A Factory Reset is a viable option for you to try.  Have you done this yet and/or are you aware of the process.  If you are not familiar with it, I can walk you through it, just let me know.

Thanks!

I have used the last 6 hours to try sync my Ionic. Tried reset, bluetooth on and off, phone on/off, emptied the buffer and more (googled and read a lot of suggestions made by you). Last resort i removed my device 3 -4 hours ago and now i can't get it back in the app. Get the message below before it says it timed out.

So please if factory reset might be an option send me instructions.

My phone is samsung galaxy s7 edge.

I hope you have better luck than I did with the factory reset (as this was fatal for my ionic).  I too have a samsung s7 edge that I was trying to pair with.  Maybe something with the programming or firmware was corrupted.  😞

I did a factory reset and loaded a new ionic. It's working now, but lost
data after last sync. Had to make sure watch was fully charged.

@Lovise1977  To Factory Reset, from your Ionic, access the Settings App and scroll down to ABOUT, than scroll down to the Factory Reset option and select it. This will bring your Ionic back to the condition it was when you first received it.

Let me me know if you need further assistance and thanks!
