My fitbit will not sync my runs and when i try to reset it using the link provided in the discussion it it asking me for my username but does not recognize it and it is the correct username as i am staring at it on my app on my phone.. Very frustrating. Can someone help?

I would like you to make sure you're following this syncing troubleshooting. Regarding the issue you're having with not being able to log into your app, please make sure you're using the same email address and password you were using before. If you're still not able to log in, you can reset your password.
