Ionic not syncing with my phone

Hi, 

I have been using and syncing my ionic with no issues for 2 weeks. Now, it will not stay synced even for a few minutes after initial connection. I have force stopped app, restarted Bluetooth, restarted phone and ionic, reinstalled the app and then reinstalled, and unpaired both on app and phone. Once all of that has been done it will initially connect and sync. Then, it will kit connect again. It used to have a constant fitbit notification in my drop down notifications, but disappeared. Also, the exercise minutes don't show up on the main screen with all my stats. I don't understand what's going on?! I had no issues with my charge II and my phone is listed compatible  Please help I'm very frustrated!

Thanks for all the details on your post, I can see that you've done an awesome job troubleshooting your Fitbit Ionic. As you mentioned that you had a Charge 2 before having your Ionic, in case that you still have it linked on your Fitbit account please try the following:

  • Unpaired both devices 
  • Restart your Ionic
  • Pair your Ionic back to your Fitbit account and then pair your Charge 2

This is because we have noticed that the connectivity works better with the watch when it is connected before any other tracker. Once you've done so, I will consider the suggestions in this article: Is the Fitbit app interfering with other Bluetooth devices? 

 

I'd like to know, what model of phone are you using to sync with?

What do you mean by "the exercise minutes don't show up on the main screen"?

Are you talking about your recent workouts, reminder to move or active minutes?

 

Also please confirm that you've followed every single step listed below. And if it is possible in that order: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?

 

About the drop down notifications on your Versa, with the last watch update, this is a normal behavior. You will have the notifications on your Versa but once you've seen them, they will be wipe out.

Hello. Thank you for your response. Yes, I did every step in your reply. I have a Sony XA2 ultra. I will try your suggestion of unpairing the charge on the app as it was already unpaired on my phone.

AS for the minutes, I was referring to the active minutes on the apps opening page displayed within a box with other chosen stats. For some reason it doesn't register, but if I open the exercise tab it will show I worked out for 60 minutes. Yet, user active minutes it will say 0 mins. I hope that made sense. It did in my head. Lol.
