Ionic not tracking HR and accuracy of steps and floors

I had to have surgery and, while I was in the hospital for three days, I left my Ionic on  the charger.

Since I returned home, the Ionic does not record more than ten steps per day and it does not display my pulse at all. I have stairs in the house and no stairs are recorded. So . . . the Ionic now does what any watch does, it tells time, but is absolutely useless for what is is supposed to do.

And yes, I made sure to update the software and synced the device.

Exact same issue with my Ionic. Tech support said nothing can be done and offered me 25% off on a new device. I declined. I'll get an Apple watch since every Fitbit I've owned has had problems. Ionic is pretty expensive to work properly for only a few months - my heart rate stopped tracking after about 6 months and it stopped tracking steps a few days ago (now that it's out of warranty of course).

@Foolrex Welcome to the Community. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.

Since your Ionic isn't tracking your heart rate please try the troubleshooting in this article. Regarding your watch's accuracy try the tips int his article: How accurate are Fitbit devices?

Also, please make sure to restart your Ionic and check if it works like before.

Let me know how it goes.

Restart of the watch did the trick.

Looking at the Apple option too, especially as I am worried that Google may not be as keen to support iOS app.

Thanks for getting back, @Foolrex. I'm glad to hear that it worked after the restart you performed.

@klckimmie29 Thanks for sharing your experience with our Support team. Each case is reviewed individually and the option provided is based in the Fitbit Warranty
