My Ionic will not turn on or appear to charge. I have called support and followed the steps to resolve the problem. Basically hold all three buttons in for 10 or so seconds. This happened after about 14 months. The watch is now a brick. Fitbit' solution is to sell me it again at a discount. This seems to be a problem with the Ionic line so buying it again would be insane. Has anyone found a way to fix this issue?

Same dead Fitbit, I pre-ordered from fitbit, got one of the first few batches, died today. Totally unresponsive, offered same discount code but no interest in investigating why the watch failed or replacing as it is out of warranty.... Thinking I an done with Fitbit too.

Unfortunately Fitbit will not do a thing for you unless your watch is under warranty. They refuse to acknowledge that they bricked hundreds of ionic's, with whatever firmware, so they could put their new tracker on the market. More junk for sale. Good luck to everyone, I've given up, not worth the headache. I'll take mine apart and see what I can figure out. Since Fitbit keeps reminding me that my ionic is no longer under warranty.

Thanks @SilviaFitbit however having to try to restarft reset ionic by pressing buttons and when it does not work offering a discount is hardly coustemer support we/i are looking for. what I want is for Fitbit to step up and acknowledge the fact that a lot of us are having an issue with your device. When we put our ionic on a charger supplied by Fitbit it stopped working after a year and some month. As you can see in ionic forums, it is not an isolated incident. Fitbit need to address this, period. Tell us what went wrong, is it the battery, chip, screen? we need you guys to tell us you (Fitbit) got to the bottom of this, Yes as you said I do have a case open with Fitbit and having a discount to buy new ionic does not negate the fact that this device has some issue that need to be addressed.

Purchased my Ionic DEC 2017. It went dead on me about 6 months into 2018. I found some solution online that "woke the watch up"! Unfortunately I am struggling to find it again. It wasn't a fitbit forum and if I recall correctly it had something to do with a setting. It did not involve new charging cords, a restart, a reset, etc. Ironically I was biking two days ago and when I returned from my ride the watch was dead (again!). I've been searching for the old solution for hours but the FLOOD of forums on this same issue is making it difficult to find what I originally found 8 months ago. Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with the responses by the customer support personnel. They are very generic and offer no real assistance to understanding and resolving the root cause issue. This is incredibly similar to my Netgear router issue I had a few months ago. Netgear's firmware updates/issues made this higher end router very unreliable. I tried EVERYTHING suggested to reconcile the issue (firmware updates, factory resets, settings, etc.). I finally gave in and purchased a new Lynksys router. Problem solved and the reliability and performance are far superior. Netgear lost a customer for life (me and the MANY others on the NETGEAR forum telling them exactly what their issues are).

Update, I did test my dead ionic battery and it does hold charge. I bought ionic on ebay with broken screen and stuck at 0%. When I use the battery from my dead ionic into ebay ionic it started to charge and now 100%. Now I know it's not battery or charging cable next move is testing charging port/board on my dead ionic. @Rome11 ddid you find anything with your ionic??

Ionic still not working. Was going to attempt to take the screen off to see if there was a way to reset by removing battery. Seeing as Fitbit wont do anything for anybody with expired warranty, I was going to just trash the ionic, I'm not spending another dime with Fitbit or on another Fitbit. Not worth it to me. Let me know how you make out. Maybe if you get yours working I'll attempt to do the same. Till then I'll be sticking with my Samsung gear.

Mine does this all the time.... itll be days before I can get it to charge again. I found certain charging plugs won't work (I.e. Samsung phone charger head) but if I use the usb charging head/port for my amazon fire stick, it'll finally start charging after 15 or 20 min.
It's been doing this for several months. Very annoying

This forum is a joke. Everytime I make a post about their faulty product they kick me off. Glad to see they still arent taking the blame for bricking the ionic.
