Hi. I got my Ionic 2 days ago from a friend for a present and after a factory reset i cant turn it on. I watched all the videos and tried all the stuff from instrucyions but no luck, whatever i do it wont turn on. I dont have a receipt or warranty so dont know what to do. Is there any solution or i can just throw it in the bin? Thanks

Hey there. I’ve had the same issue. What I found was that after a few days where I assume the battery was fully depleted, I tried charging it again and it in fact then showed 0% and started charging and then ended up working. But it only worked for a few hours and then I’ve had other issues - the green light sensor has stopped working! Good luck.

Charge device for about an hour. Disconnect from the charger and then simultaneously hold all 3 buttons for about 12 seconds or until you see the start logo. After device boots connect to phone and check for software updates via app store & firmware updates via Fitbit device application.

Understood.
A.) Was this gifted Ionic new or previously used? If used prior to receiving, make sure the former user removed it from their account. Then repeat steps.
B.) Were you ever able to sync the Ionic to your phone at any point? If so reach out to Fitbit. They will ask you to log in to your account and attempt to read the device log.

only had this a few months after they already replaced the last one i had due to a fault.
Fitbit wasn't syncing so followed steps to re-start, no luck. So followed the reset to factory settings disconnected blue tooth etc. pressed factory reset now wont turn on, blank screen. Even tried other buttons to try and get it to do something, nothing working had 75% on the battery still. Starting to think this model wasn't suppose to be. I know two other people with Fitbit's and they have no issues with them, but they don't have the Ionic.

Exactly same happened in my case as well.

Yes it was gifted, but working.
Ive set it up and used for a day, but all day sync drained my battery over night, so wanted to turn it off, but fitbit removed from options and the only way to turn it off was factory reset and setting up the watch again.

Have you tried charging and then holding all 3 buttons @ the same time? It may take a minute but also press all 3 buttons while connected to the charger. Hold until you get a vibration & boot. It can take up to a minute but if it works it will only take about 12 seconds moving forward.
