My iconic screen won't turn on or respond other than a slight change in the contrast (slight blue hue)
On Friday evening the device ran out of charge so i've plugged it in to recharge. NB this is the first time it's ran out of charge completely following a recent firmware update (27.70.7.27).
The device screen isn't showing the 0% charge screen which i normally see if the device is out of power. I've successfully synced the device in my iphone app and it shows as 99% power, with a successful last sync time in the last 10 minutes.
I've tried to hold the left button and the right bottom button for 10 seconds, the screen contrast changes slightly but doesn't show anything.
I've tried a different charger block and ensured the charging surface is clear of dirt although I think this can be ruled out as it's clearly syncing data back and forward, just the screen appears to have given up
The device has been in perfect working condition so the only change i can see was the recent firmware update to (27.70.7.27) as this is the first time the battery has gone completely flat following that update. Please help.

UPDATE - After an hour with a live chat colleague attempting to do a factory reset I have been given the options of a replacement iconic OR 50% of a new device (I chose the replacement). I purchased the device in May 2018.
This is clearly a problem with the firmware update which the operator REFUSED to acknowledge. I have asked for my warranty to be extended and have escalated this request as the operator was adamant that the warranty remains at initial point of purchase. To which i pointed out my confidence that Fitbit will not do this again is very low and this is clearly an issue that has been caused by the update. I'll post the outcome of this escalation.
I asked the operator to review this forum https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Ionic/Fitbit-OS-4-1-2-Firmware-Update-70-7-27/m-p/4205610#M127059 for the number of what look like identical problems. The response which i have saved is that they are not connected and it is co-incidence.
My iconic update worked fine until it ran completely out of battery so perhaps if you have updated keep it charged and don't let it run out completely.

UPDATE 2 - I received an email stating my warranty would not be extended which i disagreed with as all of the evidence to date shows that the problem is due to the firmware update. I have asked for the answer to 3 questions.
1. Can fitbit confirm that the firmware hasn't caused the issue i have experienced
2. Can fitbit review the comments in multiple posts on this forum stating the same problem post upgrade.
3. Can fitbit at least acknowledge they are investigating the issue, rather than claim co-incidence.

Mine has now done the same, lost GPS connection completely after firmware update. Got a totally unhelpful response stating the use of GPS with phone, as with other types of Fitbit, despite clearly saying I have an Ionic.
Responded to them asking if known issues with update, or at least acknowledge a problem they are working on , but no response.
Followed the community advise about trying a hard reset with a full battery, now nothing, not charging been on for 2 full days!, no battery symbol, cleaned as advised, changed lead, changed plug, tried usb on computer.
But nothing, completely dead and utterly useless.

My screen has done this exact thing tti me today, stopped working at about 7am this morning, had 60%battery, but completely black screen. I came home and charged it, now I get the blueish screen, it's synced to my phone but can't see a thing. My watch is only a month old!
