I am so upset I have been using fitbit for years and mine is dead. will not turn on will not charge nothing I have tried calling customer service and gotten a run a round tried to use chat that also didn't work? don't know what to do

Same same here. It is July 7th in Europe.. different time zone, same lousy performance of a brand that really disappoints as of customer service and now also as quality of products...
However, they give us this nice chat place to say that we have problems but don’t really care...

So last night I went for a walk, I know it was at about 15 to 20% shortly before so I was planning on charging it anyways. I then went for my walk and noticed the screen was black which surprised me. I went to plug it in and the screen said 0%, checked it a half hour later and it still said 0% and noticed it was warm which was unusual. I left it charge overnight and this morning it was rather warm and can no longer get the screen to come on at all. Have tried all the methods to resurrect it but nothing. This is my second Ionic, the first was replaced because of the battery.
I do know I am not spending this much on another watch!

I am having the same issue. Today at 2:20am was the last sync. The battery is showing 71% on the app. I have held the back and bottom button and then all the buttons and mine is still dead. I have owned a Fitbit since the one. I have never had this happen. I am not happy at all. I love my Fitbit but this just isn't right.

My Ionic died this morning (July 7, 2019) too!
I charged my Ionic to 99% and synced it before I left the house this morning. It was working fine when I set it for a walk. At some point during my ride (I was on horseback), it died. I could not turn it back on. When I got back into the house, I cleaned my Ionic and it still won’t turn on. I’ve tried pressing all the buttons, using different sequences. Still dead! I’ve been looking over these treads and it looks like a lot of people are having the same issue! Makes me wonder ..... is it intentional???
Not sure what what I am going to do. Maybe I’ll buy a Garmin.

Funny mine is black and when I tried again to charge it it was warm?? Never happens... my app says I'm fully charged , I have a fit back clock face , but app can't find watch and it is black no lights still ...
I'm lost for words ...

A warm welcome to the Community @roseen1. Thanks for sharing those details about your Ionic. Your Fitbit app will show that your watch is fully charged but this is because you haven't synced. Since, you haven't charged it for a while, please try restarting it and charging it again.

Mine just started doing the same thing . I was able to put it on the charger and get the icon to show and turn on . It lasted 3hrs and did it again. I’m not near my charger to try again . Fitbit customer service knows there’s an issue but won’t admit it . Many posts with same issue. My brother just asked me if I was having issue with my ionic HE IS HAVING SAME ISSUE RIGHT NOW.

Surprising my also dead. Tried various method could not wake up my IONIC. When charging, notice it is warm, very unusual. Why all this happened at this period ? Hope to hear done good news from Fitbit support . Tks

Hello Silvia. Thanks for answering. You would appreciate that there is quite a number of people out there that are having same issue at same time and would like to have answers. The issue is not a minor functionality, the product stopped working !
I am sure that there are people at Fitbit that should be concerned with what it happening and should take these multiple complains very seriously.
That said, I’m happy that the Support team has opened a case for my defect but so far nobody contacted me. Is there a link to the support case that you can share with me or otherwise what should I do ? I need a tracker for my training and I rather fix this one or will have to move on.
