Ionic not turning on

I fully charged my ionic (100%) and it immediately died, as in wouldn’t even turn on at all. I hooked it up to the charger & it wouldn’t charge at all. I did a reset (left & bottom right burins) & nothing, just the diamond Fitbit symbol & dead. Tried doing a factory reset to no avail. Help! I’ve only had this watch for ~a year or less & now it’s done?! $180 down the drain?

@SilviaFitbit my watch finally took a charge, but in the two days since removing it from the charger, it has depleted the battery from 100% to 10%, which is non-typical. My battery usually lasts ~5-6 days before needing recharged.  Not sure what’s going on with it, but prior to this, it was working flawlessly. Not sure if it’s a update issue or what. Thanks for getting back to me. Tim

My Fitbit ionic now doesn’t even last a day and a half between charges. Is there anything Fitbit is going to do or just ignore the issue all together? It’s really funny how my watch took a dive in a matter of days & I’ve done nothing different. Is this because of an update? Is it an update making my watch inoperable over a short time, much like Apple did with their iPhones? My real question is what is Fitbit going to do about this problem? Did I just waste ~$180 on a company which won’t back their product? Please help!

Well now my ionic won’t charge, won’t turn on, won’t reset (left butting & bottom right button simultaneously), it won’t do anything. What is Fitbit going to do? I’ve posted this issue for at least three months now & Fitbit has done zero. I am making photo copies of this post, as well as Fitbits response to post on Facebook, Twitter, & all social media so that everyone knows what type of product & support Fitbit has.

From what I’ve read, this seems to be a common problem. Company doesn’t seem to care. My replacement WON’T be Fitbit I can assure you and I’ll take every opportunity to tell everybody I can, including retailers

Very strange, you only need to look at the comments below that we are all leaving in the past few days to see you are not alone! I wonder if it updated without us realising and the update failed.. they are all getting the same issue..

Did either of them mention that my watch is “out of warranty” & they offered me a 25% discount on the purchase of another Fitbit? This same thing happened to me with my previous watch...it’s band was falling apart & couldn’t be replaced, so they offered me a 25% discount (which isn’t a discount as the watches are marked up so high, you can buy the same watch on eBay for the exact price or even cheaper).....I fell for it. I purchased the Fitbit ionic, which is the watch perpetrating this discussion, & it’s now as useless as **ahem** on a warthog. Why it the world would I purchase yet another Fitbit only for it to quit working & Fitbit customer service to offer me another 25% discount? I’ll never buy another Fitbit product again & will encourage others to do the same. I am a soon to be proud owner of the Apple Watch series 5....bu bye Fitbit!!!!
