Ionic not working after swimming - tried to reset

My fit bit Ionic stopped working today while I was swimming in my pool. It has never been an issue until today. I tried to reset and the fit bit vibrated once and the screen was blank, however it was slightly illuminated.

Same problem here, my fitbit also do nothing anymore after swimming yesterday. It happened also last week but after a charge for one or 2 days it returned to working. I am gonna try the next to charge again, but i think this time realy the watch died.

Same problem this week, in my pool too... ionic did not working after swimming. Ionic is not waterproof... warranty was finished...

it seems this is common issue with ionic. Mine has just stopped working too after swimming in salt water. I don't see any sign of water damage on my fitbit though. I just noticed it only had the fitbit logo and seems hang as it's not responding when tapping the screen, so i just let it die. I after i charge it overnight i turn it on and got message "Data not cleared sync and try again" and then it just die by itself. now i can no longer power it on, and it's not charging anymore 😞

To ALL on this thread. Have a look at previous threads on this issue.

I'm not going to say anything - as I don't wish to sound like a broken record.

 

This issue has been discussed by forum members many, many times.

If you are in warranty good. If not - bad luck!

 

The answer for anyone with a working Ionic/Versa or lucky enough to get a replacement is clear.
