I've had the ionic for 16 months and it just stopped working. I plug the charger in and I get nothing but a black empty screen. I come to find out that nobody repairs them either cuz as you all know the warranty is only for one year. I've read so many bad reviews on all of the Fitbit devices. It's just a poorly made product that cost a lot of money. Oh and since my warranty expired so conveniently before it stopped working, Fitbit gave me a 25% off discount to buy another...lmao! There's no way in hell I'm going to spend another $200-$250 for the same piece of crap device. I highly recommend trying another manufacturer for a similar product.

No one needs to better understand your warranty policy. We know it. What we need is you to take ownership of the fact that our ionics mine especially has worked flawlessly since I got it until this update. Now it is bricked and a paperweight. Don't offer me 25% off something new from you. Fix what you broke by sending a brand new one and a sorry we messed up!

I had a same problem with my Iconic as of yesterday - I called fitbit support this morning. I was told there is nothing that will fix my iconic. Was given the same response/offer of a 25% discount on another unit.
Fitbit CS and warrantee blows. After 5+ years of enjoying fitbit products for both myself and by wife, the relationship will end here since this is what happens when the customer does nothing, the product just stops working and -we- the consumers are left with a request to buy another unit.
Despicable way to treat customers -especially when your online forums are littered with the same problems and the same lame customer help response. "sorry Sir - but can you buy another"
