Ionic notifications don't popup after last firmware update

After the latest firmware update, my fitbit no longer vibrates/ shows the notification from WhatsApp, email, message etc when the device receives it. I only get visible popup when I get a call. However when I swipe down from the top, the messages are there. Any idea how to get notifications back in real time when it is received on the fitbit? My phone is running android pie.

Try a Restart and do it several times if necessary.

Tried restarting it multiple times. No luck. I guess fitbit screwed it up with the latest update

Do a Factory Reset by swiping left to Settings, then About, and then Factory Reset.

Did a factory reset and installed the updated Fitbit mobile app and That seems to have done the trick. Notifications are back. Thank you chief! 👍🏼🙏🏼

P.s: I'm afraid to change the watch face. Bot sure if there were compatibility issues with that. Back on the default clock face now👍🏼

Chances are there would be no problem to changing clock faces.  If you really want to, I would try it.
