I have a iphone 7 plus. The first day my notifications would make my watch vibrate and pop up on my watch. Now it doesn't seem to do that. I tried restarting my phone and refreshing the app. I also powered off the watch and turned it back on. I ensured the notifications were on, on the app. I also had it on for exercising and sleep on my watch. Any suggestions? Did I turn something off in inadvertently?

First fitbit here, but today i have to go back to my pebble. syncing /notifications does sometimes work, but most of the time not. Bought it straight from fitbit. Yes, i have done al the reboots, resets etc. i expected some bugs, but the whole notification part is a essential for a smartwatch? And no, this is not a user thing, almost all reviews mention this issue? We are talking about 349 € here , not some chinese 40 $ gizmo.
This is not the product i wanted to buy and payed for?

I am coming from Pebble as well, and While I'm loving the fitness features, it is really lacking in the "Smart watch" department. It is actually making me want to go back to my pebble.

Interesting if a new unit does does all the notifications. That would mean the first units had/have a hardware failure? That is a bit hard to believe..

I have new fitbit ionic preordered from Fitbit directly. Text notifications worked the first day but then stopped. I do get calendar notifications and other app notifications but zero text. Have deleted the app and reinstalled. Reset the watch back to factory. All settings are correctly configured on both the phone and watch but this feature does not work.
I have used a Blaze and iPhone 7 for the past year and never had these issues.
So is the consensus that its a first run hardware problem and a return is in order?
Or is this a software/firmware issue that can be resolved with future update?

Well, this morning the TXT and WA notifications do come in. I see the fitbit app was updated, and the other thing i have running now is the pebble app. So the hardware works. The random fact looks like soft, or firmware to me?

Make sure the main screen is on then swipe to the right. Didn't find that in any of the Fitbit documentation👍

Notifications are about the only reason I got a smartwatch. I noticed if notifications aren't coming into the ionic, if you checked into the fitbit app and under notifications, you will noticed that the pink enable button comes up (it shouldn't). After tapping into it, it would show notifications are enabled (it really isn't). You have to disable and enable it again. Only then will you see those notification apps selection screen instead of the pink button.
But i can't be checking this every hour. Fitbit guys do get this fixed! Thanks!
