I really don't think why this should make a difference whatsoever. If you think it's good to buy at $270.00 then you should definitely buy it at $300.00, too. If you think it is useless at $300.00, then you should definitely not buy it at $270.00.
Don't disagree, but some are price sensitive and $30.00 could make a difference to some on the fence. I was planning to buy myself one for Christmas and this is just added incentive to do so.
