Just got the Ionic, and was mostly looking forward to being able to play music from my fitbit. I had read about issues with transferring music to the Ionic. Fortunately there was a fantastic post which detailed how to transfer music, and I am happy to say it worked well for me!
Now my issue is my bluetooth headphones. They are an LG HBS730, and paired with my Ionic no problem. The issue is the music plays WAY TOO LOUD! I can take the earbuds out of my ears, and still hear the music blaring! I read another post about Apple AirPods having this issue, and a firmware update fixed the problem. Unfortunately I am running with what I think is a newer version of firmware (version 27.32.4.19). When I try to turn the volume down using the controls on the Ionic, it will not turn down. I can turn it up even LOUDER, but it is TOO LOUD ALREADY! I have not tried pairing my Ionic with my bluetooth speaker yet to see how the volume is on that. Any ideas on how to address this issue? Are not all bluetooth headphones alike?

Forgot to point out I have been using these headphones for a few years paired with different samsung galaxy s cellphones, and have NOT had this issue.

I'm having the same exact issues, with the Ionic and the LG HBS730
The decrease volume button doesn't affect it at all, although the increase volume, makes it even higher which is not the result I'm looking for.
Help us! 🙂

I paired my Ionic with a bluetooth speaker yesterday and I was able to adjust the volume to an acceptable level no problem. So apparently the loud volume issue is specific to the LG HBS730 bluetooth headphones. I realize I could buy some other bluetooth headphones and perhaps have an acceptable sound level. But really, after spending $300 on the fitbit Ionic, to have to spend another $130 for fitbit headphones to work with it doesn't seem fair. Hey moderator, is fitbit looking into this issue?

Ditto with the volume issue and LG HBS730 headphones. I even tried a couple of other cheap Bluetooth headphones I had laying around with the same results. I have a Fitbit Charge, and wanted an upgrade...figured that the Ionic would be great with the built in music player...and I can’t use it. I have sent an email for help, and am waiting for a response...has anyone gotten a work around yet, or do we have to wait for a patch?

I ended up buying some other bluetooth headphones (JIB Skullcandy) and adjusting the volume works just fine with them. I really do like having the built in music player. It is rather disappointing that it does not work properly with the LG headphones. Still hopeful that fitbit will fix the issue. I don't know why it seems specific to the LG headphones.

Same issue with Zeus headphones. OW! *sigh* yet another reason to not be happy about my Ionic investment.
