My Ionic is constantly pausing when the lower of the two outboard buttons makes contact with my glove. Very frustrating to lose workout data due to an obvious design flaw. Has anyone figured out how to disable the buttons during a workout? This a fatal flaw as far as I’m concerned and will result in the return of the Ionic. Too bad because I really like it in all other respects.

How about trying different gloves? Or wearing your Ionic a little further up your arm? My cycling gloves dont seem to be near my Ionic buttons. I have certainly had no problems with it being paused.

Thank you for the advice. I already tried that but don’t believe I should alter my equipment or activity to accommodate a design flaw. I did purchase a case protector that results in the buttons being recessed and no longer being pressed. Also protects the watch from bumps and scratches. From Amazon...

i ordered a silicone case from Aliexpress to protect my screen. with this case you need a fingernail to press the buttons. maybe an option. I can make a picture if you want

I couldn't agree more. I just bought the ionic and it pauses continually due to my glove. Super frustrating that the button can't be disabled

Wear your watch on your right wrist for cycling.......should eliminate this issue. Or better still a fitbit software update to allow for auto rotate of the screen so it can be worn either way!

I'm about to toss my Versa bvut before I do I thikn I'll try ripping the pause button right out of the watch with some needle nose pliers. That's how frustrated I've become with the pause button always getting inadvertantly hit and ruining workout logs. Since Fitbit won't address it, I guess Stanley will.
