Ionic "Weights" workout shows pace on FB app? - anyone else?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The weights workout on my Ionic shows pace in the FB app log. There isn't a setting I can change to make it either go away or change to calories burned.

Examples:

I've had my Ionic since christmas and every weights workout I have logged shows me pace rather than calories burned (in the FB app). I know I can click on the workout and it will open up where I can see the calories - this is a workaround that shouldn't have to be implimented. pace is completely useless for weights, it's an unusable stat. My wife has the Charge2 and this weights-pace issue doesn't exist for her. Weights shows calories burned where mine shows pace.

There is another tread about the same issue, but not many complaints.

"Weights workouts show up as distance-pace"

I've complained to @FitbitSupport about it several times via twitter.

@FitbitSupport says "we've checked and found that it is also showing pace on the web dashboard. Our apologies for the inconvenience. We're aware of this issue and our engineers are currently working on a fix", and in another exchange a few days ago "since this issue just arrises[sic], our engineers are continuously working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience on this manner"

 - it's not a new issue @FitbitSupport! -

Having updated to most recent FB app version 2.47 and Ionic firmware version 32.4.19, I report that the "pace" issue is still there. (upgrading the firmware went without a hitch!)

I'm posting this to see if others have this issue and to attempt to make a bit more noise - if others are as frustrated as I am.

Maybe you should try and classify it as Aerobic Workout ? I dunno. The only pace’s I Have are on runs/walks

@hoovdaddy Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting this pace situation when logging weights.

Is this happening only when you log weights or is it happening with any other type of activity?

Looks like it is some kind of bug; have seen other threads talking about the same.

Our team has received the feedback in this thread and is working to investigate these reports further. I will share updates from the team when I hear them. In the meanwhile, please try the steps on this post I found which has helped other users that are experiencing the same.

Thanks for your patience. Stay tuned for updates!

I too am having this issue. I was bought the Ionic for my birthday and changed from the blaze a few days ago (wasn’t an issue with the blaze) I am also having the same issue with Workouts and Circuit Training and it’s extremely frustrating. I have tried resetting the tracker, logging out of the app and deleting the shortcuts and reinstalling them yet the problem still exists 😡😡

Sax2basix has just reported the same issues I've been talking about.

I've experienced it since around October 2017 with the Ionic. Variants of this issue include calories being displayed as double-dash, and distance being shown for Weights. I have verified this behavior with Weights and Workout, and others have reported it with Yoga also.

I had the charge 2 for over a year and it showed calories burned. Once I switched to the Versa, it shows pace instead of calories burned. I’ve tried everything to get this fixed but seeing that this has been an ongoin issue for awhile now, is there no temporary fix?

Hi Fit Bit team,

I am having the same problem. You have mentioned you have a bug. When are you going to resolve this?

It have been months now! My weight workout should have shown calories burned. I have tried removing exc.from Exercise Shortcut and resting the app and phone. It didnt help.

I have the same problem with Weights, Workout, Aerobic Workout, and Yoga.  It's quite annoying to have to open the workout to see the calories burned.  This wasn't an issue with my Charge 2 but since I got a Versa I have noticed this issue.

I'm beginning to believe FB doesn't care.
They've known about it for a good while and continue to give the same sorry
response that their engineers know about it and are working on it. I'm
calling BS on that.
Now that it seems this issue is part of the NEW Versa, I'm convinced now
more than ever that they don't care.

Hi there!

I am sorry to tell you but they still havent fix it.  I just gave up. Will definitely find something better on the market.  And telling everybody who spots the device on my hand that fitbit it is **ahem** and they shouldn't  buy it.

Hi there!
There was a respond.
They offer me a refund. So the conclusion is: they are not going to fix it. Maybe if more people would complain on their FB website.. they would actually do something....

I’ve upgraded my Ionic firmware and the App.

Still seeing “pace” for my weights workout. Still broken. It’s been a year. Let’s get this fixed, please?!

I’m very dissatisfied with the team working to “fix” this issue.CBE24AFE-3546-4BB2-8369-CEE889FC4F93.jpeg

After such time you should already figure out that they don't work on fixing anything. There is also known "Workout" bug not showing calories in summary in the app ( just two dashes instead ) have been there even longer. And guess what... yup... they happily keep working on it 🙂

I have the same issue since upgrading from a Charge 3 to the Ionc and it doesn't matter if I choose weights, or cardio - I can't get it to display calories burned on that first screen instead of Pace either. Rather frustrating as I don't want to have to open the entry to see the calories burned.
