So I have my credit card in my fitbit wallet and pin set to only be used for fitbit pay. It would only ask for the pin if I long pressed the left button as expected. Then suddenly tonight it started to randomly asking for the pin with no long press on the left button. Just every few minutes it would vibrate and ask for the pin, no long press, just randomly asking for my pin over and over. I had been swimming in the ocean so thought maybe some salt had made the button sticky so I washed it well in fresh water and it still did it.
I then went into the fitbit app and removed my card from the wallet to make sure the pin was completely disabled. Yet it still kept prompting me for my pin that now should be completely gone, going into the wallet on the ionic showed it was now empty but if I long pressed the button or just left it alone for a few seconds it would ask for a pin. So I tried entering my pin and BAM! My credit card icon displayed, the one a supposedly just removed!
Anyway, have done a factory reset, it is now doing its' 20mins worth of updates. I'll be interested to see if it keeps randomly doing a long press or if it was a weird software bug. The payment stuff has been too flaky to bother with again.

Got it replaced under warranty. Not sure I'll swim with it in the ocean again. I must have clicked a button and got some water/salt stuck behind it. A shame they don't warn of this.

Well after factory reset it still keeps randomly acting like the left button has been long pressed. Now it just asks me to setup fitbit pay each time so at least the pin and card are gone as they should have been before. Must be a hardware issue.

Did a button get pressed while swinming? This is just a curiosity question as I watched a video on a different brand of smartwatch and they were saying that if you press a button on that particular device while its submerged it might allow water in.

Just try to press it down and try and see when you release it if it still pulls up Fitbit pay.Hope this helps.

Maybe, I can't remember for sure but I did check the time and I have found the auto screen wake doesn't always work so sometimes I press the button.

The button still works, if I long press it it pops up with fitbit pay and asks me to set it up. But it also keeps randomly acting like the button has been long pressed. I left it sitting on the coffee table overnight, as soon as I picked it up this morning fitbit pay popped up as if I long pressed the button. The other buttons have become non responsive too, there is something wrong with it. Taking it back today for exchange.

also just noticed the right buttons make an audible click noise, left button no longer does.

I don't think it's that. Lots of other users saying the same thing. Haven to put it in water and I have the same issue.
