Ionic resets on Weights workout

 I have seen versions of this problem, but no solution other than "disable notifications".

During a Weight workout the watch resets back to the workout selection screen and the workout isn't recorded. 

Is there a solution coming in an update... it's the ONLY reason I paid $300 for this watch.

Yes, there have been some reports, but it doesn't seem consistent. I've tracked dozens of workouts with Weights on the Ionic, without any interruption yet (knock on wood). On the Ionic I disabled GPS and notifications, but there's no way to know if that is making the difference or not. I also do a restart on the Ionic before tracking Weights.

I'd say there's an update in the oven, usually in most software, a 1.0 release is shortly followed by a 1.x update. Just don't know how long that update takes to cook. A wise man once said:
