I have restored my Ionic back to factory settings and I proceeded to set it up again but I tried to use the email address I had set it up with previously and it is telling me there is already an account for that email which I understand but I have had to use an alternative email address and now I cannot find my device on my phone, it will not go past the searching icon. I had no problem initially when I set it up. The only reason I restored it was because it was not syncing and I wanted to get phone notifications on it and nothing would work. Not sure if I made the right decision.
I would appreciate any help you may be able to give me.

Hi @sandrab1163 Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear you are having an issue. Did you remove the Ionic from your account? Factory reset puts the device back to the original settings, but I think it would still be associated to your account. What is your phone OS? The more details I have the better I can try to help you.

Hi Marci...thankyou for your response...I did not remove the device from my account, maybe i should try that first. If I am looking at my phone correctly does Android Version 6.0.1 help at all 🙂

My Ionic will not download and install with the app... not with my iPhone, not with my iPad. FitBit customer service shows me connected to my WiFi, but device does not show it. When it finally does log into my wifi, goes through the entire download and install stages, then errors out at the end. I have restarted, shut down, factory reset three separate times to no avail. I have spent the last two days trying to get this fixed. Nothing works and nobody can seem to help me. Frustrated beyond belief

I understand Nocluewhatswrong...I am not real tech savvy so that makes it real frustrating for me. It has been working fine up until I tried putting phone notifications on. I realised my wifi was not connected also and sync would not work.
Lets hope I made the right decison and you get your problems sorted too.
