Hi all. Is there a reason why my fitbit ionic resting heart rate is not accurate? Since the update it has gone up from 60 to 74 in a week or 2. It use to be 54 which i think is way to high as well. Is it just mine or is this a common thing. So frustrating. Feels like i want to sell this dam watch.

@Richardson85 Welcome to the Fitbit Community! Thanks for reporting this situation with your resting heart rate.
According to the American Heart Association website "the average resting heart rate is 60-80 beats per minute, but it’s usually lower for physically fit people."
What is your usual resting heart rate and how did you measured it? I'd recommend checking the American Heart Association's All About Heart Rate article. It shows very helpful information.
You could also check this helpful article about heart rate. Also, wear your watch to sleep for best accuracy.
If you feel it is not accurate, please perform a restart on Ionic. This usually helps when data is not being tracked accurately.
Hope this helps. Keep me posted!

The heart rate sensor isnt tracking right from what ive been told on the phone. I keep being told "our engineers are aware of this and are working on it for the next update". So if you hr isbt tracking right your resting heart rate won't be right. Mines way off. I have a picture sitting down with my fitbit showing my hr at 100bpms and on my pulse oximeter finger 55bpm. I thought the fitbit would come down but it just hovered around 100. Restarts, factory resets dont fix. $300 and my regular charge hr is the best accuracy. Too bad dont have all the smart watch features

54 BPM is too high of a resting heart rate for you? I'm impressed.
Hope your Ionic gets better with future firmware updates if that's the case though.

Yes me too! My resting today is 77 but before their update mine was 64. I don't understand this. Did you ever find an answer?

I wake in the morning and laying in bed, my ionic shows my heart rate to be between 48 and 52, but when I check it later for my resting heart rate, my ionic says it's 55 to 58. I have just decided that the final resting heart rate with the ionic is just a fail. Furthermore, I know it's reading my heart rate correctly, but somewhere in the software, it has its own vision of what it should be. I understand why it is not accurate when working out due to arm movement, but at rest the watch is correct, but the final solution is wrong. Just more software flaws.
