My Ionic battery does last longer than 5 hours on a 1005 charge???

Since the update a month ago, my Ionic does not hold a charge for over a day.  I'm active, 10K steps a day plus mtn biking.  It used to last three days without needing a charge.  Just this morning after a  100% charge, brushing teeth, making breakfast and going down to the car my watch is at 84%?  Mind you with no preference changes prior the update.  This is unacceptable.  Is it time to switch to Apple Watch?
