Hi @teebird,

You can always scroll on your watch to "Settings" and then select "Brightness".  Tap through the options until you see "Auto" and you should be fine.

Watch, under “settings “, the only choices I have which activities to show. There is nothing that shows brightness-can you tell me how to get to the brightness screen????

This is same for me and it did not always work this way.  Now, it is not bright and there is no brightness setting to play with.  I thought maybe clock face was problem but it is same on other clock faces too.

I have the same problem. The screen is so dim I can't read it and it won't respond to touch at all. Can't get to settings because it won't stay on long enough and won't respond. Can't use it anymore, please help!

I have had more problems since this one and my Ionic isn't useable anymore. I was put into contact with customer services to try and get it fixed, or get it exchanged for one that works. Surprise, surprise, they won't do anything because I bought it from eBay!!  Apparently, eBay is one on their list of unauthorised sellers!  I wasn't even aware they had an unauthorised list of sellers, they don't tell you they have one, or remind you to check it before you buy your fitbit!

My fitbit Ionic was bought new from an eBay seller. It shouldn't make any difference where I bought it, it was new and therefore under manufacturers warranty for 1 year..... I bought mine in September 2020, so it's only 6 months old and I've been having problems with it from 6 weeks after purchase. As it was bought from eBay, they only give you 30 days to send it back for a refund and so the seller wasn't obliged to accept a return and give me a refund and unfortunately he decided not to accept it back, so there was nothing eBay could do as it was out of the 30 days limit.

I think it's just a cop-out saying they won't do anything just because of where I bought it! That shouldn't make any difference, the Ionic was faulty and can't be used, faulty merchandise should be repaired or replaced by the manufacturer, as the sale of goods act states items should be of merchantable quality and fit for purpose, which it definitely isn't!  All I can say is, Fitbit, you don't have any consideration for your customers and have rubbish rules!!  Your fitbits aren't any good either!  Try making fitbits that actually work well and then maybe you wouldn't get so many customers on here complaining that their fitbit doesn't work!!  I will never buy another fitbit and I'll let all my family and friends what to expect from you too if they ever buy a fitbit and have problems with it!!  I doubt very much if they'll ever buy one after that. What rubbish merchandise and even more rubbish customer service!!  Fitbit, you suck!!!
