Ionic says unlock with your phone

I had my watch in my pocket and I guess the password got entered to many times wrong. Now I'm locked out.

Hi everyone,

I have been through the same issue today and it has been solved thanks to the comments here by following the below steps:

1. Log into your Fitbit account by browser and not the app.

2. deactivate your bank card.

3. "unlock with your phone" message is gone.

4. Go to the app on your phone and add the card again.

5. Problem Solved! welcome back to your normal Fitbit life.

my app don't show Device lock

Do you know how I could do that if it's not synced up to my phone any more. 

My phone has just been repaired and my little boy has litterky just locked it and it's not paired to my phone

I had the same issue with my versa and was finally able to unlock it!

1. Login to your dashboard on the computer app. 

2. Remove any cards on fitbit pay.

3. On the app on your phone, change the pin (it should work now if it hadn't before).

4. Reset your watch (bottom and back buttons on the versa)

5. Put in the new pin.

I'm sorry I have no solution to this. My fitbit did the same thing 2 weeks ago. I wasn't able to fix it this time. I called support last week and was told someone would email me with trouble shooting within 24-48 hours. No one contacted me so 6 days later I called again and was told to do a factory reset. After the reset I tried to add my device to my account again, but got an error code. I was told that Fitbit is doing some updates that may interfere with the setup process, and to try again tonight or tomorrow. 

This is ridiculous, I will be taking my fitbit back to the store. I've only had it for 4 months and it's already useless. Customer support isn't able to help at all.  

 

I do not recommend the Fitbit Versa to anyone, and discourage any other Fitbit product due to the poor customer service.

I have the fix ...! No need to return/exchange your Ionic. I was about to click "exchange" on Amazon when I said let me give it a nother shot ...and I did. I called customer support which was extremely helpful and walked me thru factory reset and reconnect. I will not put a lock on my Ionic moving forward to avoid the dreaded "Unock with your phone". Simply follow below, I hope this helps everyone out. I could not find this solution anywhere, this needs to be posted by FitBit officially ...!

1. unpair(Bluetooth) Ionic from all devices, Computer/Phone
2. Press and hold all three/3 buttons on Ionic until the "FitBit" appears.
3. After 20 secs or so, when the "FitBit" logo disappears release bottom right-button
4. Continue to hold the left-button and top right-button until the Ionic vibrates
5. Then let go of all buttons.
6. Ionic will begin its factory reset which last 2-3 minutes, screen will be black and buttons will not work, FitBit will come up on its on to the welcome screen.
7. Contuine to pair device as normal.

I had this horrible problem it would not factory reset so I had to send it back as defective the support  technician gave me these instructions to factory reset versa

1. Hold all three buttons down for 15 seconds

2. Release only the bottom right button while still holding down the other two count 12 more seconds

3. Release the other two buttons and wait for Fitbit.com to come on the screen

if these three steps do not work you have to send it back to the factory

my versa says "unlock from phone". I have tried resetting the password from the fitbit dashboad. That didnt work, so i restarted the watch. I then unsynced the watch from my phone, told it to forget the versa under blue tooth settings

 

Now im trying to set up my versa as if it was new, but it still says unlock with phone!

I have a Fitbit versa 2 and an iPhone 11. Fitbit is locked and gives message that says to unlock it with phone! HOW DO I DO THAT?????????

my fitbit versa got locked and lock device is not any more showing. I don't know how to unlock it now .

I had the same problem, twice. After it happened a second time, I gave up and bought an Apple Watch. I’ve never had any problems with it. Good luck.

Hi I have same problem. My versa2 has a error ‘unlock with your phone’ when I followed your instructions I can’t find unlock device option all and it’s asking me to add device, when I try doing it the pin code is going to Fitbit and obviously I can’t  view as it’s asking me to unlock with phone... I am really struggling. Could you please help.

I am unsure of the steps for that particular device... You might have to
contact customer support, there are super helpful. Sorry I couldn't be more
